Get Hired To Work at Home

Virtual Agents In High Demand
Working at home can be very rewarding, giving time flexibility and saving money on gas, lunch, etc. Things to be aware of when seeking a work at home job are work environment, office equipment, and attitude.

The work environment should be comfortable and quiet. Make sure you have a comfortable desk chair and no noise. Most of the companies that hire work at home agents, highly stress on these areas. Especially the noise. No noises from kids, animals, appliances, etc., are tolerated from the companies.

Office equipment should consist of an up to date computer with at least Windows 2000 or higher, 512 megs of ram, 800 mhz cpu or higher, sound card, 1024 X 768 video. All software needed (some companies provide free downloads) like Office and antivirus. A corded telephone with corded headset. Cordless phones could have interference or batteries can go dead. Happened to me. High speed internet service that is hard wired. No wireless or satellite on most jobs.

Attitude! They want to “feel” you smiling through the phone. Be happy to help customers and keep an open mind.

Overseas language barriers with US clients make outsourcing to work at home agents in the US a growing trend. Virtual jobs are becoming more normal than ever! Virtual customer service agents doing call center work from home, is the largest employment opportunity for stay at home mom’s and dad’s. Taking inbound calls for various info and product ordering.

Did I read that right? Outsourcing to the US?

As crazy as it may sound, big corporations are now keeping their customer service call center work right here at home! Have you ever called in for your satellite TV service, or ordered a product off an infomercial only to get an agent that speaks english with a foreign accent that is hard to understand? Well, the big players in a wide variety of industries are learning just that.

Americans are really fed up with the language barriers when calling a US based company for customer service. I worked as a virtual agent doing tech support for one of the largest satellite companies in the world. When I answered the phone, the customer would actually say “Wow, are you in the US? I can’t believe it! I can understand you.” Companies with customer service calls are now realizing the importance of “connecting with the customers” with US home based customer service agents.

This new trend is opening up a whole new way for stay at home mom’s and dad’s to be able to work at home and spend time with their families. Many companies outsourcing to home based agents are hiring massive amounts of work at home contractors , and employees to keep up with the ever growing demand for virtual agents across the United States.

Would you like to work at home?
The application process does take some time with most of the companies hiring. I landed one job in 2 days while my best paying job took 3 months before I was contacted. Patients is a definite virtue. You have to realize that thosands of people just like you want to work at home too. Your resume and application has to stand out over everybody else.

My best tip is to add an objective right up front under your name and address. Tell all about your expertise right off. If you think about it, a real person has to look at all of the applications. Do they want to see where you worked and went to school right off the bat? Right, they want to see the qualifications really fast because they are looking at lots of apps everyday. Make yours count and get hired fast with the right app and resume.

Legit Work At Home Jobs

Who actually hires people to work at home? This is the question that thousands of people ask everyday. So many are skeptical, searching and finding scams, questioning if they even do exist. To answer the question, YES they do exist! Who hires ? Third party companies that handle many bigger companies for their customer service among other duties. For instance, they handle inbound customer service calls for companies like AARP, Pro-Flowers, and Toys-R-Us. But you can’t just go to the “big” companies to get a work at home job. They outsource all of the “work at home” jobs to 3rd party companies.

When working, you are still representing the major company. Answering calls with their company name and abiding by their protocol. However, you won’t have to drive anywhere or dress up to do the job. You just need a land based home phone, high speed internet, and of coarse your up to date computer. You also won’t have to work a specific day to day schedule with most companies. You will be making your own schedule to work around your lifestyle. When you need time off for a family event, you won’t even have to beg your boss for time off, just schedule around it yourself!

Buy now you are asking “who are the 3rd party companies that hire?” Well there are several. Over 45 that I have found so far. These companies are totally legit, pay on time, and have great training. I have spent many hours myself searching for the best companies to work with online and put them into a download able list. Now, like anybody, my time also has a value. I only ask for a one time 2.97 to download this list. I also send out updates when I get contacted about new jobs and who is hiring the most. The updates are free and will be sent to the email you register with. If you really want a good legit work at home job with a real regular paycheck, then download the list and start applying for the best work at home jobs on the internet! Geez…it’s only 2.97 and will save you a whole lot of time.

Work at Home - Time Freedom

As a work at home agent, I have found that one of the best benefits is the ability to make my own schedule. By being able to choose the time of day and length of work blocks, I find scheduling around my life events very pleasing. I don’t have to ask anybody to take a day off or work a long hard day if I choose. I just do it.

A flexible work schedule can mean the difference between your kids being raise by you or someone else. I know a lot of people only make $500 a week and pay $200 of that to a daycare center, and another $50 or so for gas. That just sucks. Not to mention the about 10 hours a day your away from home.

I know thousands of people want the same lifestyle and work at home job as I do. You search till you think they just don’t exsist. Well, I am living proof that they do exsist…. and lots of them! I worked with 4 companies over the past two years, 3 just to check them out and one that I stayed with for quite a while. It paid $14 per hour to sit at home and handle tech support via the internet and my home phone for a major satellite TV company. The others paid $6 to $12 per hour and were very easy jobs.

The companies are real and so are the paychecks that come every two weeks. Why are they soooo hard to find? With literally thousands of people wanting a work at home job, these companies would be flooded with applicants if they advertised this type of employment. They would have to pay people to sift through lots of applications, of which a lot would not qualify for one reason or another. You would be suprised at how many apply that don’t have a home phone or their own computer. It wastes their time and the qualified applicants have to wait in line till the bogus are thrown out.

How did I find these jobs you ask??? The truth is, I have been into computers and the internet since 1980….. I grew up with it. Now not to brag or pat myself on the back, I am just very fortunate to have the knowledge of how search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN works. Given that, it still took me 3 months searching about 10 hours a day to sift through all of the crud out there and find the real legit work at home jobs. Wow, looking back it was a whole lot of work just finding a job on the net to work at home.

I continued to search even after I started working for one of the top companies in the US as a work at home agent. I found exactly what to look for and knew what words to use when searching. I found over 45 companies that hire work at home agents. Some are customer service, data entry, secretarial, virtual assistants, medical transcribing, and more. I have compiled a list of the top companies in a pdf format for download. If I offer it for free, which I did for a very short time, the companies get overwhelmed and shut the doors for a while. So, to weed out the not so serious and those who are not properly prepared to work at home, a small one time processing fee of $2.97 is required to download the list. Not much, but slows it down considerably. I only want qualified people who are very serious about working at home with a real job to apply with these companies. If that’s you, then go ahead and download the list today and start applying for your work at home position now!
